Given the choice, I'd take the Cold War era when we could still claim the moral high ground. But since that's off the table, I'll settle for "Power corrupts, but being able to shoot a dude in the face and have him to apologize to you is pretty neat!" Respect the Dick!

Ha! Here I thought this was to vote for our favorite evil-doers in college basketball.
My vote would have gone to my hometown's basketball "hero", Herb Pope, who now plays for Seton Hall. His exploits on the court are rivalled only by his exploits as recorded in the police blotters.
Herb got kicked out of their first-round game in the N.I.T., when he punched an opposing player in the 'nads. :o
