Subject: Boycott Mott's and Dr Pepper/Snapple

Written By: LyricBoy on 09/06/10 at 5:51 pm

I just saw an article on TV where Dr Pepper/Snapple is demanding pension freezes and a $1.50/hr wage cut from Mott's workers, despite record company earnings.

Now I can confess here that I have laid off workers(by the hundreds) and had to cut wages in order to save an ailing company, that's business. But this Motts thing is just dirty all over.

I will not be buying any Motts, Dr Peppper, or Snapple products now.  >:(

Dr. Snapple.  I mix 'em up in an old Listerine bottle and may the best beverage win!

But Wal-Mart...that's a place that should be avoided at all times!

While I agree with LB and Mr. C (have never done Wal Mart), it seems to me that if we boycott every shady, exploitative, under handed, or disreputable business/product, there would be nothing to buy and no where to shop.  That's the free market baby.

..and listening to the cricket, we should have a Boycott boycott, too (though that joke may not be too well-understood that side of the pond)

I'm good at boycott.  Some would be surprised at the things you can do without, especially for good reason.
