First Republican in the seat since 1920!  Thanks Anthony!

And another

"Democrats took a beating on Tuesday night in a pair of special elections in Nevada and New York. A Democratic loss was expected in Nevada's GOP-friendly 2nd congressional district in the race to replace Rep. Dean Heller, who was appointed by Gov. Brian Sandoval to take over the seat of disgraced US senator John Ensign after his resignation. But in the fight to fill the seat left by Rep. Anthony Weiner in New York's 9th congressional district, Republican Bob Turner's victory dealt Democrats a stinging blow in a traditionally blue district."

I'm wondering if Diebold was involved,  ???

Wow I just read an article that said that Democrats outnumber Republicans by a 3:1 margin in this predominately 'working class' district.

Democratic leaders trying to explain their bad night blamed it on the quirkiness of low-turnout special elections.

"The results in NY-09 are not reflective of what will happen in November 2012 when Democratic challengers run against Republican incumbents who voted to end Medicare and cut Social Security while protecting tax loopholes for big corporations and the ultra wealthy," said Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Steve Israel of New York.

I thought they woulda just blamed it on the Weiner scandal.

Damn, that's over 90 years ago.

"Talkies" were still 7 years away.
The 'Flapper Era' was just getting underway.
Warren G. Harding was elected President of the USA
It would be another 13 years before Hitler would become Chancellor of Germany
Lenin was still the MFWIC in Russia

And iPhone, ahem, firmware was 87 years away and it would have been better for A. Weiner and the Dems if it never showed up at all!

Alas, back in 1920 if you wanted to show off your Weiner you did so in solitude.  :P
