Subject: Justin Beiber ... Politically Correct Term ?

Written By: LyricBoy on 02/05/10 at 9:02 am

Anybody know what's the politically correct terminology to describe Justin Beiber?

In the past I'd simply call him a w****r, but I suspect that would be seen as offensive to some people.

Saw him on TV yesterday, and I am aghast at how his "I pretend that I'm black" act is being accepted and thriving at that.  8-P  This cat makes Vanilla Ice look like Snoop Dogg.

Hey, I don't think there should be any sort of "color bar" for what people perform but really, this kid's act is just ridiculous.  I wonder how long before he covers NWA's "F*ck Da Police" ?

Dreads cannot be too far off either.

What say you of this (inexplicably successful) performer? ???

I'm ashamed to admit I like his new song "Baby".  :-[

I agree with you about the w*****r term. It describes him perfectly.

I actually like his music, Lol.

But do I like him? I'm still deciding.  ;D

He is 15 years old for crying out loud!
How many 15 year olds actually know who they are?

Did he actually say "I pretend that I'm Black"?

I can't see him ever saying something like that.  It's just a common stereotype in the media whenever a white artist performs a style of music that is commonly associated with black artists.  It's the same kind of flack that Danish pop group Laid Back took in the 80s when they did 'White Horse'

I hear ya Jas! ;)

But I wouldn't go so far as to call him a w****r! He's 15, it's his first album, and most labels dictate what the artist sings and shyt for their debut album. Look at Pink - her first album is nothing like all the rest!

The term is a Aaron Carter wannabe singer.

;D

He doesn't have to say it.  His performances say it for him loud and clear.

Well then, Max...

You might be able to start a budding career as a white wannabe hip-hop performer.  ;D

He's Canadian, he's 15, and he's now world famous with lots of money.  He's the luckiest kid alive!

As for his music?  I'm not a fan, and I think he will be a flash in the pan pretty soon.  When you're 15, your music only really appeals to the younger crowd, and once they get older, their musical tastes will change and he'll end up bussing tables at Swiss Chalet LOL

Reminds me of another white Canadian who pretended he was black - remember Snow, Jason?

'A licky boom boom down'

;) ;D

Okay, if you invest in startup costs, including the chicken wire!

I used to live about 4 miles down the road from a chicken-wire bar called "Leroy's".  Quite a rowdy establishment.  8)

You know, when you're at a chicken wire bar, you simply HAVE to throw something.  ;D

I hope that you have rehersed well your hip-hop versions of "Stand by Your Man" and the "Theme from Rawhide".  ;)
