Subject: 600 pound Woman Striving to hit 1000 lbs ???

Written By: LyricBoy on 03/23/10 at 1:23 pm

There have been some stories lately about 600 lb New Jersey woman who allegedly wants to hit 1000 lbs.  :o

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2010/03/17/2010-03-17_plusplus_models_the_next_big_thing.html

The real story, however, is that she is a model for a website that caters to men who prefer extremely large women. She says that the 1000lb story has been taken out of context, and that it is simply a fantasy that she's put out there for her clientele.

Either way you slice it (no pun intended), six hundred pounds is a LOT of weight.  Being morbidly obese myself, I can't imagine weighing that much.  And no matter how healthy you are, you will eventually start feeling the toll it is taking on your body.  I already deal with Achilles' tendonitis in my foot because of the extra poundage, I use a CPAP machine because of sleep apnea, and I constantly feel tired from dragging the weight around.  Granted, my cholesterol and blood sugar are consistently low and healthy, but that won't make a difference down the road.

And yes, I am battling it, but it is a ferocious battle that is not easy at all.

I hope this woman's daughter does not have issues down the road with food, and I hope that the woman in question decides to improve her health.  No amount of money is worth doing THAT to your body. :-\\

In this day and age, people will do anything for attention and notoriety.  This is yet another example.

Nah,she's not going to live much longer, her obesity is going to cause her to have heart trouble, high blood pressure and other stuff.

Most humans who attain the 1000+ mark are rendered immobile.  Usually several hundred pounds of that weight is water retention.

This woman needs some mental health counseling.

She needs Richard Simmons.

She probably had too many frustrations with weight loss and gave up and decided to break a record.  :-\\

For all of you (including me) who have struggled with weight our whole lives, here's 3 cheers and a horray for not giving up!

I was wondering about that.  I saw this show over the weekend where this 900-pound lady got a stomach bypass operation, and they said she lost 50 pounds in the first week.  :o  Musta been mostly fluids.

My god, if I got up to 600 pounds I'd kill myself. I'm 175 now and I feel that's too big. 600 is just excessive.  :(

How about that guy Michael Hebranko who was on TV years ago was skinny but then gained it all back later on.

Thing is, once somebody gets up to say 600-700 pounds and becomes bedridden, then the "blame" for additional weight gain really goes to the family members who keep bringing in the food.  It's like assisted suicide.

I was watching one show where some lady mentioned that she'll eat like 8 Big Macs for lunch.  Her husband was saying all the time "I don't know what I can do".  Well for starters, HOW ABOUT NOT BRINGING HER 8 BIG MACS AT A TIME????

Wow, would 8 Big Macs be the same as 8 White Castles? I mean White Castle Hamburgers are quite small. ???

Heck, eating 8 sliders is like an appetizer.  Figure 1 Big Mac is like maybe 4 sliders.

So 8 Big Macs would be like 32 sliders.  :o

I would eat half of those sliders (maybe 16 if I'm really hungry)

I didn't think it was even possible to hit 1000 lbs. That is really dangerous.
(and this is coming from somebody who wants to gain a few pounds)

There was a guy Walter Hudson, who came in at like 1197 pounds.  Dick Gregory (yes, THAT Dick Gregory) worked with him on a special diet, but when Grgeory wanted to do a film about Hudson, Hudson refused and then Gregory walked away.

And don't forget Yokozuna (WWE) weighed 600 pounds before he died.

I felt bad for him. Because he really regretted that. I saw him on some show about the superobese on the learning channel and he was really upset when Richard Simmons came to the weight loss center he was at because Richard fronted him.

I bet Richard was angry at him.

I've never seen Richard Simmons get angry, I mean really angry.  He doesn't believe in negative reinforcement, which is why I think people love him so much.

Michael Hebranko was supposed to be the "poster boy" for skinny people.
