That's a famous scene from Repo Man (1984)

Miller: John Wayne was a f@g.
Repo men: WHAT?
Miller: John Wayne was a f@g.
Repo men: The hell he was!!!
Miller: He was, too, you boys. I installed two-way mirrors in his pad in Brentwood, and he come to the door in a dress.
Pletchner: Aw, that doesn't mean he was a f@g!  A lot straight guys like to watch their buddies ****.  I know I do!  Don't you?
Repo Men: Yeah! Yeah! Sure!

Anyway...I know of know credible allegations John Wayne liked to putt from the rough!

Kevin Spacey in American Beauty is an example of a gay actor playing a straight role.

I know!  It's called acting, any one regardless of how good they are at acting, can play just about any part.

Gay actors have been playing straight roles for years, as have straights been playing gays.  Not sure where that article writer is coming from.

Of course that means that a "flamer" (let's say like Perez Hilton) has to drop the limp wrist and sissy lilt to his speech, but if he can then that's good acting.  Let's face it, a gay guy playing a gay guy is not a big stretch, but a straight playing a gay (or vice versa) does require some acting skillz.

Obvious, the writer of the article, has never seen How I Met Your Mother or Doogie Hauser, M.D.

Sean Hayes from Will And Grace who played a gay guy is actually gay in real life.

He actually made announcement about it, in a interview, just recently.
