Subject: Shaggy Hair on Men

Written By: Ryan112390 on 06/08/10 at 6:59 pm

I've noticed lately, last few months or so, that shaggy hair--ala Surfer Style or Shaggy from Scooby Doo--has been popular, especially amongst guys aged 15-18 or there abouts. Anyone else notice a shaggy hair trend for guys lately?

I think it's been "in style" for a couple yrs now. I find it quite annoying. And it's very reminiscent of Shaun Cassidy circa Da Doo Run Run

I see some black guys are supporting the 70's afros again which is very cool.

A lot of the Middle-School age boys have that Bieber helmet hair style.

Yep all the boys seem to have that feathered 70s look going on. I wouldn't mind growing my hair a little longer but halfway through it gets far too unmanageable.

The key is, you still need to get haircuts while it is "growing out"... Too get it thinned out and keep it manageable

I've also noticed, at least among older guys, like 18-21 year olds, that sideburns, mid ear length and beyond have come back, at least where I live. Mostly among rocker kids, but I've seen the trend extend outside of that. And a few black guys where I live have grown afros too, though not as big as the 70s afros.

I've been trying to grow my sideburns long to get that "Elvis" look again, some people like it.

I absolutely HATE this hairstyle. Unless you're on a surfboard in Malibu, you need to pick up the damn shears and cut that hair into something else.

It just looks bad and I have a laughing fit on the inside every time I see someone with thier hair cut like that. It's like emo and preppy mated and had...THAT hairstyle.

Sometimes during the summer,I'd see a lot of kids wearing spiky hair or colored hair like red or purple.

This has been big since 2003, hit its peak in 2008, and is starting to wane a bit from what I've seen.  Its still plenty popular but you see more short-haired guys today than you did 2 years ago, at least in my area.  Ill be glad when it goes out...for one, I wanted that hairstyle the whole time it was in but my hair gets too wild after a certain length.

Chest hair is alright depending on the man. If you're Prince or David Hasselhoff when he's sober, feel free to have fuzz. IF not. DONT!

I think anything involving "shave" and "name-your-body-part" is ill-advised unless you're at one of those weirdo clubs!

Actually, I think Anton Levay's Church of Satan is still going.  There are a whole lot of satanists out there.  They range from Dungeons & Dragons kids to Hells Angels thugs.  But, um, it would poor form to post links to satanist websites.  I don't think I want people to have to deal with those people with whom we must share the planet.  Anyway, they're not really a threat to anything.  They are satanic, but not Satan incarnate.  Furthermore, few satanists identify with the Biblical Satan.  How can anybody worship Satan?  So they tart it up, the add candy and nuts, talking about some kind of folk medicine and loving all the creatures of the Earth.  A little honey makes the scum go down.  If you're rooting for the Dark Forces in the world -- selfishness and greed -- you're rooting for the Dark Forces.

Don't fear Satanists who cast spells.  Fear Satanists who often come as false prophets.  Fear the Satanist who controls capital!
