This has the potential to be a smash hit for Katy, or to backfire on Snoop for "selling out". In either case, it is a catchy tune.

Snoop sold out a long time ago :D I predict it'll be the song of this summer, at least for the left coast. It gets quite a bit of airplay here on Top 40 Radio.

It was a no.1 hit in the UK as well from 27th June - 10th July 2010. I love the song and I love the video. California Gurls is one of this year's summer anthems.

But I am surprised he did not throw a verse in there about smoking weed. ;D

I am already sick of this song. Plays at every nightclub, sometimes its on all three of my local pop stations at once, you hear it at the mall, you can't get away from it no matter what you do.

It's catchy and summery. Yeah, I'm sick of it, but I liked it at first.
