Subject: Digital Cameras

Written By: Ryan112390 on 09/11/10 at 6:45 pm

Is it me, or outside of the convenience that a Digital camera brings you (not having to get film developed, etc), Digital cameras are actually inferior to 35mm cameras? On a lot of digital cameras I've seen, the vibrancy of the colors looks very washy out, and pictures taken in the dark tend to be much more grainy than with 35mm cameras?
Just my opinion

You'd have to get your foot under her skirt first.
Better yet, she may just go commando.

Rhett...

For superior photographic images, you really need to go to a "large format" film camera, like a 6x7, 6x9, 4"x5" or the colossal 8"x10" (think Ansel Adams) formats.

The 6x cameras are pretty big but they are reasonably portable.  The 4"x and 8"x formats are not very portable and are basically used for landscapes or staged photo shoots.  And you spend alot of time for each shot having to reload another hunk o' film.  And all of the large-format rigs are absurdly expensive.

But the big benefit of the digital cameras is low picture cost, reasonably good image quality, and instant access to the image.  At the end of the day, put a good photographer behind any of these tools and you'll get great results.  Put a hack behind any of the tools and you'll get junk.

It has a lot to do with the settings. ISO speed is a big factor as to the quality of photo. It denotes how sensitive the photo is to light and the shutter speed. When the lighting is really good, a faster shutter speed works great. When lighting is low, a slower shutter speed works better-however, when you have a slower shutter speed, the possibility for more noise and/or camera shaking can occur. The trick is to find the right balance.

Well, no, true voyeurism and photographing thereof is highly unethical.

Anyway, now with the digi-cam, you upload the photos straight to your computer.  Thus, a lot more of a lot more different kinds of pictures get taken and find their way onto skeezy websites!

You remember the old days?  You ain't gonna take those to Fotomat!  Are you fargin' kiddin' me?  Unless you knew how to develop prints and had a dark room (or a buddy named Joe with a dark room and he doesn't care what kind of kinky relations you and the old lady have, heck he's even in some of the pics!); uh, that is, as it were, unless you knew how to develop prints and had a dark room, why waste good film on nudies you're never going to develop!

If you have a scanner, you can do that with prints from "chem cams," however, that means you had to get the prints developed in the first place, hence my earlier post.

Oh man, you would have to mention Fotomat. That was where I met an old boyfriend. Our first date, we were sitting in his parked car, waiting for his sister and he had the door open. I asked if he was claustrophobic. He said, "I work at Fotomat." Enough said.  :D ;D ;D ;D
