I like the look, but I don't need glasses so I don't think I'll be wearing them any time soon. ;D

Thick-rimmed glasses (or "nerdy glasses" as they are also referred to) have actually been quite trendy over the past several years. It's not just celebrities who are wearing them.

I used to strongly resent that fad, but now it's starting to grow on me. I may even consider getting a pair of thick glasses myself.

They've been pretty popular since about '08. Thats when I started seeing them a lot. Haha, I love this trend though. :)

Oh yeah, they're huge. I think they're a trend that's only going to get bigger too. I see them as being related to the 80s revivalism.

This is what I dislike about the trend - people putting a bandage on them. I think that's rather superfluous.

Yeah that's always been the case (elderly people who haven't changed their prescriptions since 1992 or whatever ...), but I saw a girl in her 20s who had those kinda glasses. it looked really cute on her!
