Personally I think the excess of tattoos and piercings. By the time tattoo removal becomes cheap and painless, which probably isn't very far off, the tattoo trend of 1990s-today will probably decline.
I don't think the hair of today will stand out, aside from the Bieber haircut and some of the Scene hair.

Lady Gaga herself may stand out as weird, but since I don't see anybody dressing like her, I doubt that her fashion style will be used to judge the entire decade.

Well this contradicts the "a return to more formal wear" thread. Apparently, a Boston blogger said that the city's last restaurant to enforce a strict dress code dropped the "jackets required" rule. I guess having supposedly "upscale" places just aren't as upscale anymore, and it seems like the wedding and prom are the last resorts of true formal wear. I miss the era of having "true" class; you'll just have to watch some oldies to find them, and the trend has changed so much that dressing over the top may now be considered "weird".

Not to mention since about 2006-07, wearing pajamas in public has become acceptable. Being a bit of a lazy person, I kinda dig this. ;D Even in the '90s, such a thing would have been unthinkable.

I don't want to ruin your post, but the Bieber haircut actually was around in the 70s in some form or another. Justin's hair is so 70s, if he wore bell-bottoms, he could pass as a kid from the 70s.
