Id like to promote more aussie music and get an Idea of what you would like to hear of or get educated on so I am going to throw a few band names out there and you can tell me which bands or musos you want to hear more of. Week by week I will promote those aussie bands with a selection of their best songs based on your choices.

HERE IS A LIST OF AUSSIE BANDS/ MUSOS

I had enjoyed your last post for some good Aussie music.  I will check these out - thank you!

Might I also add the Church to your list?  They are my very favorite Aussie band  :)

I grew up on Midnight Oil.  They had 5 Top 40 hits here in Canada.
Silverchair were OK, but back when they were popular, I never really proactively listened to that kind of music.
The Church, now they were awesome.  They were OHW in North America with 'Under the Milky Way' in 1988, but they had so many other great songs.  Their best to me was 'The Unguarded Moment'

As far as new groups go, I LOVE Empire of the Sun.

Best Aussie song ever for me is this little number here ...

The only member from this era of LRB still remaining is Wayne Nelson, who sings lead on 'The Night Owls', so if I ever were to see them live, I would just stay to hear them perform this, then I would leave.

Did you know that no one in the current LRB line-up is from Australia?
