I was going over past hits for 2011, and there were some good ones that I somehow overlooked. Have you started enjoying any songs that were already hits this year, that you didn't know about until recent?

Nicole Scherzinger - Wet
Her solo album 'Killer Love' has been out in Europe since March, and this song made UK #21 in August. The album has yet to see light of day in North America, so there may be hope for this one yet

The New Cities - Heatwave
This made #38 in Canada. Love it just for the hommage to the 80s classic 'Tarzan Boy' by Baltimora.

I think it is safe to say that 2011 music in general has totally slipped under my radar. Not sure if that's such a bad thing per se... ::)

"Gonna Get Over You" by Sara Bareilles. This one was reportedly released as a single in September, but I never heard it until December.

I heard a remake of Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" yesterday. That remake came under the radar. I wish I knew who did it, it was pretty good. 8)

These weren't exactly hits, but I was listening to the local community radio station and I heard a couple songs that I liked by an English band called The Bevis Frond, who released a new album last year.
