Subject: Lady Gaga's Designer brings back 1995 fashion for the 2010's

Written By: thenewtattoo on 03/02/12 at 8:55 pm

The 90's back?Could not help but notice this guy and his facebook. Everything he is wearing is 90's clothing.
Seems he is working with RedOne. Would this mean the 90s movement is ahead?
His mag scans have Sike! & Slam Jam on it. Seems like the 80s are dead 2 me lol?

http://www.facebook.com/StevesPeeps

Ill try to get more info on him as I am on my ipad and it is hard to navigate this website ever lol
wonder if they will make a mobile version.

True but he kind of reminds me of  a Haddaway  meets like New Jack Swing.
To me like the 90's had 3 eras.  The 1990-1992 era which was all
bubblegum . 1992-1996 the nirvana grunge/Hip Hop R& B era
& 1996-1999  the millennium y2k era. All space stuff and leather
blazers. Think LaBouches album.

The main thing I really notice about fashion is people keep wearing less and less clothes as times goes on. Eventually I think people will just be walking around naked again ROFL.  ;D

In Hockey maybe...
Trust that by the late 80's - mullets and bowl haircuts were fading away and no where to be seen in the 90's.

I will give you puffy pants - but they lasted as long as MC Hammer.
And it could be a difference of culture for sure, but in North America - all that stuff was long gone.

Yes but he will need 2 bring back Jerrys puffy shirt!
So I did some snooping( stalking around) & it seems
he is getting the attention of a few 90's icons for approval
I think I see what he is doing here.  Get the nod of approval
from various 90's celebs to give him the rub. That last
photo kind of reminds me of Ck one from 1995.

Seriously though, because one is born in 1994 does not mean that one knows the 90's. I mean seriously.
I was born in 1971 - but honestly, I don't remember much before '78. So that leaves me 2 years of the decade - Other than Star Wars - I really don't have any input for that decade. (I could try and talk about the music, but my mom and dad were country lovers and 60's lovers, so I have Merle Haggard, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Paul Anka and The Grass Roots) ;) Fashion wise - heck, everyone knows polyester was IN. I have the pictures to prove it - but I don't remember it.

According to his wiki he was born in 1986. But i def get what you mean. You know what is crazy. The 90's
were a 70s rehash so how is this going 2 be pulled off without confusing 90's things for 70's things?

I disagree about the bowl cuts.  Tons of kids had them in the mid 90s.

Sadly - it is from wiki, but they were gone early to mid 90's
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowl_cut

And had someone said "mushroom cut" I would have freakin' known what you were hedging at.
Irregardless, the style was brought in over 50 years ago and was by no means just a 90's thing.

When I think of 1995 fashion, I think of the "Friends" look. Basically, the guys and girls having thick and layered hair (especially like Chandler, Joey, or Rachel). Of course flannel is 90's, and I've been rocking the flannel for a few years now.

Mullets were actually still pretty big in the 90's. They were kind of gone by the late 90's, except here and there, and a few pro wrestlers.

Then people started losing their hair.

when I think of Friends, I'm thinking of their late 90s-early 00s look when they actually look hip and cool and ross wasn't tacky with his hairstyle.... pretty much since they are become more popular than ever since the late 1990s

plus their fashion wasn't that good earlier in the season
