This video is kind of dumb, tbh Lights isn't quite as great as she was a couple years ago. I mean the fat exercisers, please ::)  I thought Siberia was a bit of a step down from The Listening, it tried to be more left-field but ironically sounded a lot more generic and trendy than its predecessor. I was bumping the Listening for years but Siberia got old after a couple months.

The part with the hearts is cute though.

What's Gordon Lightfoot up to lately?  It's been a while since I heard a new tune from Gordo.

He will never see the mainstream again, unless he does a duet with Wiz Khalifa or something like that

You never know. Maybe somebody will sink another ore boat on Gitcheegoomie and he can sing about it.  :P

You'll be surprised at what can happen. I really love Lightfoot's 'If you could read my mind'. There's just something so powerful about it. What is Bruce Cockburn (pronounced Co-burn) doing now? He is a prolific Canadian singer.

There are a few modern Canadian singers I have listened to but don't know what effect they had in the Canadian charts. 'Crabbuckit' by K-os, 'Love lift me' by Amanda Marshall, 'Summer Paradise' by Simple Plan, 'On the table' by AC Newman, 'All I can do' - Chantal Kreviazuk, 'Good mother' by Jan Arden and 'Happy Baby' by Shaye.

I know all of those except for AC Newman.

Bruce Cockburn still records.  He apparently lives in my hometown, but I've never seen him around

So you should, you're from Canada. I think I'm the only person in the UK who knows them.  ;D

AC Newman was in bands 'Superconductor' and 'The New Pornographers' before he did solo stuff. I don't think his stuff is commercial but it was on Last.fm and thought it was pretty decent.

Yes, Bruce Cockburn's body of work is quite huge ('The Trouble with Normal' and 'Pacing the cage' are my favourite songs) but sadly he's not recognised over here in the UK.

He's not too recognized outside of Canada.  He was a OHW in Australia with 'If A Tree Falls' in 1989, and he is branded as a OHW in America with 'Wondering Where the Lions Are' in 1980, despite having one other charting hit in the US in 1985 with 'If I Had A Rocket Launcher'

Yes, I have 'If I had a rocket launcher' on my Canadian compilation. I really like the female singer Luba and The Rankin Family's 'Far thee well love'.

Not exactly 2010 but there we go...  ;D
