When people born in the year 2000 are teenagers...

When Croatia will be set to join the European Union...

It's just around the corner...

Bad year for triskaidekaphobics though, seeing the number "13" constantly shown in datelines. Also, the first Generation Z babies by the earliest start definition (1995), being the year that the Internet came of age will be adults! Cars made in 1988 will be old enough to get antique plates! Its a scary thought, but 1988 is now closer to Beatlemania than it is to now!

25 years is enough to get an antique plate? Damn.

In Germany, you only get them after 30 years.

I have already seen a car with such a plate this year and the car still looked kind of new and not too ancient to me. That's when you are heading to your 30s yourself.

Yes, my mom had a car from 1979 when we were young so 80s cars seem pretty 'normal' to me, despite them sadly getting older. But even the 90s cars look old compared to the ones that come out today  :-\\

The first car we had when I was a little kid was a 1979 Opel Kadett, but I absolutely can't remember it. We replaced it in late 1990. However it's still weird that I can't remember our own vehicle, since I was into cars in general when I was 2/3. And that's a thing I can clearly remember again...
