Subject: Verzion & Comcast now tracking Torrent sites, Threaten to shut down service !!!!

Written By: thenewtattoo on 03/10/13 at 12:45 pm

Verizon and Comcast are now tracking the web in a vicious crackdown of illegal download of peer 2 peer clients such as UTorrent.
The new law went into effect last week. If you get caught ur internet will be shut down. More on this in the video it would explain it better than reading text

I would also like to advise anyone who is using Utorrent to delete it from their computer now.

I work for Comcast, this is untrue, you will NOT be shutdown.
At least you'll receive a letter or series of letters advising you that you'd been identified as sharing or downloading copyrighted data and the letter will direct you to legal sites to download.
At most, you might get throttled, temporarily.

Actually, nothing will happen, if you read the new proposal, most providers will do nothing. It doesn't force them to do anything, but make the IP addresses of those illegally downloading more accessible to the RIAA and the like.

Torrent sites aren't going anywhere.

If you're truly worried use a proxy and encryption.

All is well, carry on.

Getting throttled is not cool, but yeah this might change the way Bittorent will operate due to the feds cracking down
