Subject: Stephen Fry has tied the knot

Written By: Philip Eno on 01/18/15 at 2:05 am

Comedian and writer Stephen Fry has married his fiance Elliot Spencer.

Fry shared a picture of the couple signing the register in Dereham, Norfolk, with his 8 million Twitter followers.

He said: "Gosh, @ElliotGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing."

Two weeks ago Stephen Fry said on Twitter that he was "very very happy" to announce that he and 27-year-old writer Elliot Spencer were to marry.

"Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I'm very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!"

The pair are thought to have started their relationship last year.

Fry, who has spoken openly about his struggles with drug abuse and depression, has largely kept his love life private.

It's thought he separated from a long-term partner five years ago.

Fry is a director of Norwich City Football Club and has been a familiar face on television since the 1980s.

He's most recently known for presenting the comedy quiz show QI, as well as for acting roles in The Hobbit and the latest series of 24.

I have the Harry Potter books on audiobook read by Stephen Fry. He did an outstanding job reading. When he read "Hagrid," he sounded just like Robbie Coltraine.

I read about his nuptials online earlier at people.com.  Which is the where the photo I am posting below comes from (originally from Mr. Fry's twitter.)  I first became aware of him from the British (original) version of "Whose line is it anyway?"  I adored his sense of humor and saw him on various other shows, it wasn't until last year whilst browsing youtube, did I find out he was in a rather popular sketch show with the guy that was on House, MD. Funny stuff.
He is brilliant, and I admire him.

Unfortunately, I also read some of the comments underneath the story (on People.com)  There are some really bigoted people in this world who get emboldened by being anonymous online.  Makes me sick.

Try and watch his television show "QI" on YouTube, the shows are classics.

One of Stephen Fry's many talents is copying peoples voices, here is exactly as he is doing.
