Bridesmaids co-stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are to reunite in the all-female Ghostbusters sequel, its director Paul Feig confirms.

Bill Murray was reluctant to sign up, especially after the death of Harold Ramos last year.

This is why I don't go to the movies anymore. How will it be "Ghostbusters 3" if the stars from the first two films won't be on the poster?

But they ARE the Ghostbusters. They should be the main characters.

Perhaps they could splice in some previously unreleased footage of Ramis, too.

With the cast as I'm reading, they may as well get Adam Sandler in the film too. 8-P

Channing Tatum is being mooted as a potential star of a new Ghostbusters film that will follow the female-led "reboot" set for release next year.

I'm not crazy about an all female cast but it might work out towards the end, it could be good.

The actor, who played Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989), will appear in director Paul Feig's upcoming installment of the franchise, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Harold Ramis died last year. I'm not too sure what the story with the other four was, Ernie Hudson was in the first two Ghostbusters movies, but they must have personal reasons to not want to do it.
