Subject: Donny Osmond throat trouble

Donny Osmond's doctors have advised the singer and presenter that he will need surgery to repair a hemorrhagic polyp (that's a bleeding lesion to you and me) on his right vocal cord.
It will be carried out by the Dr Steven M Zeitel, the same surgeon who poked around the voice boxes of Adele and Sam Smith.
There's no date yet on when Osmond will go under the knife but he does have a continuing engagement performing at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas which is planned to resume in October after he recuperates.
Several solo shows in September will also have to be rescheduled.
