I don't go looking for that stuff.  I surf the internet for the stories and the forums.

I don't know why they'd get rid of it. I mean that's what Playboy was known for. I'm real shocked. I didn't' read that smut but I know that it still had a real big following. That's like Archie comics without Archie.

I always figured that Hef's son, Cooper Hefner, would follow in his father's footsteps at Playboy, and keep the party going at the Playboy Mansion.  I guess that will not be the case.

Yeah the internet is where you can find all the nudity you want now to your heart's content. I still have my Playboys and Penthouse magazines from 1990 and beyond, BTW. ;)

True story:

I had a step-step brother-he was my step-father's step-son from a previous marriage. (Does that make sense?) He was disabled. I don't want to use the politically incorrect term but at the time, that was what he was referred to. He had the mind of a 7 year old in the body of a 40 year old man. Since his mother passed away, my step-father continued to take care of him. He continued to live with him until my step-father married my mother and then he went to live in a home (his choice). My mother & step-father tried to get him to stay but he didn't want to-but that is another issue.

Anyway, one day my mother & step-father found Playboy magazines in his room. His response was "They have good articles." Normally, that would have been an acceptable answer except for the fact that he couldn't read.

It wasn't supposed to be a sad story-it was supposed to be a funny story. He used the excuse that they had good articles but because he couldn't read, that excuse didn't hold up.


But, his condition was sad. In those days, they really didn't do too much for people like him. Today, there would be more programs for him. But, even with all the resources in the world, I'm not sure if he would be able to read. I don't know if he had the capability to learn.

It's simple now but back then you could flip through all the magazines that you want.
