AWESOME! A thread where I can show my unhealthy obsession with 10's cartoons.

- Adventure Time
- Gravity Falls
- Amazing World of Gumball
- Star vs Forces of Evil
- Mickey Mouse 2013
- Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate
- Ben 10 Omniverse
- Generator Rex
- Young Justice (Where the hell is Season 3, WB?)
- My Little Pony Friendship is Magic
- Sonic Boom
- Clarence
- We Bare Bears
- Wonder over Yonder
- Legend of Korra
- Star Wars Rebels
- The Loud House
- The Looney Tunes Show
- Regular Show
- Scooby Doo Myserty Inc
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012
- Rick and Morty
- Guardians of the galaxy

I figured there was a lot to be nostalgia about.

I don't know any kids who watch Rick & Morty, but I understand why it's there.

Maybe not so much as kids, but I imagine preteens would watch it. Mainly since I hear how about 11-12 year olds who've seen the show and like it. But I supposes it's more of a preteen/teen/adult show instead of a kid's show.

I've actually never seen the majority of these, however, there's Star Wars Rebels, I have an obsession with Star Wars. I actually enjoy that show, it is childish, but I hope it gets darker like Star Wars: The Clone Wars did, the second season was better than the first, and the season 3 trailer looks good.  :)

Tap into your inner-2010's kid spirit and join me on a journey of modern animation.  ;) It's simple and easy. All you have to do is binge watch ALL the episodes of ALL the shows I just mentioned. We'll have a blast.  :D What do ya say?  8)

:o That's a lot of tv shows. ;D  I'll maybe try giving some of them (hey, maybe all if I have time) a shot, and if my inner-2010's kid spirit likes them, I'll continue to watch them. Which are the best ones?

I guess from what I blatantly saw from the Internet, I'll put it up.

- Adventure Time
- Regular Show
- The Amazing World of Gumball
- Fish Hooks
- Gravity Falls
- Star vs. The Force of Evil
- We Bare Bears
- Breadwinners
- Sanjay and Craig
- Teen Titans Go
- Harvey Beaks
- Pig Goat Banana Cricket
- Wander over Yonder
- Pickle and Peanut
- Modern Spongebob
- Modern FOP (Fairy Odd Parents)
- Clarence
- My Little Pony
- Littlest Pet Shop
- Steven Universe
- Any poorly written Disney Channel sitcom made from 2010-present
- Whatever could entertain their asses on YouTube

I like 'em all. But the ones I consider the best are Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Legend of Korra, Steven Universe, Mickey Mouse 2013, Ben 10 Alien Force, Amazing World of Gumball, and Adventure Time.

As of 2016 I have over 20 shows that I really enjoy which is good for me. Any decade that can provide me with 20+ shows is a good decade for cartoons in my book.

This decade has a mix of good and bad it seems. I hated BGBC and Bread Winners. And I never liked 2010-present Disney sitcoms. But then again this is just me.

Damn right it's accurate. There isn't any 2010s kid who wouldn't go on YouTube and look up anything they want. They never really watched anything aside from YouTube, since most of them were probably born after cable TV was a really popular medium.

And maybe Netflix as well, since there are a lot of families who subscribe to it. I don't know how many 2010s kids recognize Netflix and YouTube more than cable TV itself, but it might be more popular with them.

Probably 500,000+. How do you think the phrase "Netflix and Chill" came to be?

Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate Alien
The Secret Saturdays
Sym Bionic Titan
ThunderCats 2011
Victorious
Jessie
Beware The Batman

These are off the top of my head I know that will definitely be nostalgic.

Maybe more than 500,000. I don't really see kids being that obsessed towards cable TV, unless their parents were more interested to it. As for Netflix and chill, I think it came from somebody who wanted to make a meme out of Netflix.

I hated the Neflix and Chill joke. Didn't make much sense to me. This coming from a guy who lives, eats, and breaths Internet Memes.

Same with me. Most memes nowadays don't make a lot of sense when you think about it. It's just there for people to retweet on Twitter.

I like using them in forum posts just because it basically shows what I'm thinking/feel, but in a funny way. But other then that I will admit that there are some dumb memes out there.

On topic I'm curious on the cartoons of the late 2010s. Wonder if the realm of animation will hit a change sometime in 2017-2019.

I thought the same thing as well, since we're almost into the literal late 2010s in four months. I do believe that cartoons would take a change around the 2016-17 school year, since we do have the last season of Regular Show coming up. I do say that because it would probably have Cartoon Network make another era for the first time in 6/7 years.

Off the top of my head, these are the shows I remember my 2005-born sisters watching.

When they were toddlers (2007-2011ish):

Barney
Dora The Explorer
High School Musical
Zack and Cody
iCarly
Franklin
Thomas the Tank Engine
Toopie and Binoo
The Fresh Beat Band
Phineas and Ferb
Some show with dancing singing repair tools, can't find the name

Core childhood:

SpongeBob Square Pants
The Fairly Odd Parents
Victorious
My Little Pony
Big Time Rush
Austin and Ally
Hannah Montana
Wizards of Waverly Place
Jessie
Good Luck Charlie
Adventure Time
Gravity Falls
The Next Step
Shake It Up
Descendants
Mr. Young
Steven Universe
How To Be Indie
Stanley Dynamic
Powerpuff Girls

They watch a billion other things to be honest, I don't really keep track anymore like I did when they were babies and we only had one TV. I watch Steven Universe and Stanley Dynamic with them. Those shows are amazing.

They watched Stranger Things with me and my brother, and they watch The Flash, Arrow, etc. all those Superhero shows with my brother too. I imagine as they grow older I'll start watching more TV shows with them.

I remember Treehouse. It used to distribute Canadian-American kids shows since the late 90s, like Max and Ruby, Timothy Goes to School, Franklin (the turtle), George Shrinks, and other shows that I used to love as a kid. They're kinda popular here in the United States, but not as a channel.

Pretty much any other HBO show could be better than Game of Thrones, tbh. Game of Thrones is what happens when you have social media obsessing over a book adaptation for a long damn time.

-Steven Universe (at the rate it's going at, it'll probably continue into the early 2020s but I think it's a very core 2010s show)
-Regular Show (not sure if it was big enough, but my friends and I loved it!)
-Stranger Things (will probably continue into the early 2020s but if 2020s television is any different I think people will be able to tell that it's a very 2010s show, in spite of being set in the 80s.  It has a big fandom among pre-teens and teens and of course adults)

Steven Universe (2013)
Wander over Yonder (2013)
Rick and Morty (2013)
Legend of Korra (2012)
Amazing World of Gumball (2011)
Generator Rex (2010)
Ben 10: Ultamite Alien (2010)
Gravity Falls (2012)

We Bare Bears (2015)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2015)
Star Wars Rebels (2014)
Mighty Magiswords (2015)
Loudhouse(2016)
OK KO Lets Be Heroes
Samurai Jack(2017) (Guess you can say it's both a 00s and 10s kid show. Sure only 1 season aired in the 2010s, but it was a big deal for us)
Ducktales(2017)

Overall the 2010s is looking good in terms of quality kid cartoons. Especially since I feel that this is the first time in decades where we had a ton of cartoons that are for kids, but also written in a way that would target adults. We had hints of this in a past, but during most of the 2010s this is the trend. In 2002 an adult would say they wouldn't watch Spongebob, but in 2014 you'd see a ton of adults at conventions with their Adventure Time costumes on.

This decade isn't like the golden age that is the 1940s or 1930s, but I do consider it a close 3rd or 4th best decade. Honestly I can't find myself saying that the 2010s was lacking a good amount of kid shows.

I watched season 5 of Samurai jack but only like 2 episodes. The 2010s was a Renaissance for cartoons though.

Felt like everyone was jumping for joy with Samurai Jack season 5. All the memes, discussion videos, forum hype etc. I think the only thing we all hated was the ending and how it felt underwhelming. But other than that we all loved the series.
