Subject: Tom Hanks' Sully film to open Telluride festival

Written By: Philip Eno on 09/02/16 at 5:34 am

Clint Eastwood's new film about the US pilot who famously crash-landed a plane in New York's Hudson River is to open this year's Telluride Film Festival. Sully, in which Tom Hanks plays Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, will premiere later on Friday at the Colorado event. All 155 people on board the US Airways flight survived the emergency landing after the plane after hit a flock of geese on 15 January 2009. The Telluride Film Festival runs from 2 to 5 September.

I think that Clint should have played the role of Sully himself.

Now that would be interesting?

Well in that version, Clint would have prevented the engine failures by shooting all those geese through the windshield of the aircraft. The emergency landing would have been required due to the collateral damage done in the cockpit due to the destruction of the windshield.

Once the aircraft hits the water, Sully (played by Clint) sees another flock of geese, and comes out the exit door blasting.

I was thinking less make-up to be used?
