Subject: 'Well-loved' older actors to improvise play at London's National Theatre

Written By: Philip Eno on 10/11/16 at 6:11 pm

The National Theatre (in London) is to stage an improvised play with a cast of "well loved" actors who are all aged in their 70s and 80s. The theatre's artistic director Rufus Norris described the work - Lost Without Words - as a "theatrical experiment". He said the play would explore what happens when a group of older actors is put on stage without a script. It will open at the Dorfman Theatre in March 2017. The cast has not yet been announced but Norris said they would be "well-loved and well-respected rather than marquee names".
