Subject: The 5 former U.S. Presidents join together

They joined together to call for support for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. It was nice to see them come together for a great cause even though they differ in party, policies and ideology.
What are your thoughts?

Damn, Trump really dropping the ball on this one if all five living former presidents are coming out of retirement for this.

Carter is still alive.  There's hope for Bernie in 2020.

Yeah, Jimmy is 92 and turning 93 on October 1st.

Yesterday was actually Bernie's 76th birthday, lol. I still think that Bernie is too old to run (especially in 2020) and I'm not a big fan of his.

Bernie running is still a bad idea. Hell, even Biden running isn't the best idea in the world. We should be trying to prop up new faces.

Have you heard of Kamala Harris? She would be a great contender for 2020.

I want change as well but Bernie is simply too old.

I agree.

Kamala is a decent choice but I think she should stay in the Senate.

I have and I agree. I am a little hesitant because I think sexism was behind Hillary's loss, but from an objective standpoint she seems like a good candidate as far as economics, the environment, and most of the bigger social issues. Not sure about her support of civil asset forfeiture though.

Why would her position on asset forfeiture be a problem? If you like her view of economics then you are "all in" for confiscating money from earners and handing it over to people she wants to vote for her and who did not earn the funds. Asset forfeiture is simply another version of confiscation.

I think it is great that they all came together. The current president makes Dubya look good (and I'm not a fan of Dubya).

I always wonder how conservatives who have that belief reconcile it with their love for large military budgets. How do they plan on paying for that? Pillaging? Getting Mexico to pay for it? ;D

that's right; he's 111 days younger than Bush Sr, who turned 93 back in June.

Glad to see that all five of them have joined together in relief efforts. O0
