Even though 2020 is 600 and more days away what will you do once its the first early morning hours of 2020 or 2020s.

I can tell you that day is my hard deadline to leave the law. If I’m still a lawyer by then, I plan to look for a new job.

It's the same as any other New Year's Day. I might be a bit sad that the 2010s are over, but a lot of it has been "over" for a while now. :P

I wonder if more people will acknowledge the decade is changing going into 2020. It was a big deal to me back in 2009 going into 2010 but it seems most people and media didn't even acknowledge that a new decade was arriving. I think because to some people, 2000-2012 is the "2000s" and 2013-2019 are the teens. 2020 will be the first time since the year 2000 where everyone acknowledges a new era will be arriving and also the first time since the 90s where we will have a decade that everybody knows what to call it.
Me personally, I just hope the economy is still decent and that I am healthy in 2020. If so, that is going to be my year. I will finally be able to get out of Oklahoma and get on with the next chapter of my life.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing, but I'll be very happy and sad at the same time that we are entering a new decade. What makes me happy for 2020 is that it's the year I graduate HS and turn 18. What makes it sad is that 2010 will be a decade old, and we won't be in the 2010's anymore. I try to enjoy every minute of this decade while I can. I know for sure I'm going to be nostalgic for the 2010's once 2010's nostalgia becomes huge. From Silly Bandz in 2010 to Fidget Spinners in 2017.

Well, I'll just have to do something completely original then, like stand strategically in front of a house so when the front of it falls off I'll just happen to be in the exact right spot where the window will fall around me and I can walk away unscathed.
