Everybody who was a youngster in 1990 will be a granny in 2020. That's my prediction. 30 year generational cycle for the win.

2020s culture will be defined by some rain and snow and a couple of hurricanes. There will also be a solar eclipse in 2024.

It was just really windy the other day where I'm at. It was very strong and the pop culture was changing quickly as well. Also, I walked 2020 steps this morning so that's definitely a sign of 2020's culture.

Wow the 2020s suck. Remember the 2010s when everything was perfect, sunny and the birds sang? I was looking at some pictures and the sky was definitely bluer in the 2010s.

Nope. 2020s culture started in 1992 when Hurricane Andrew hit. 2020s culture peaked from 1994-1998 and stopped in 2005 when hurricane Katrina hit. We are currently in early 2040s culture now.

Skinny jeans will go out of style.  80s nostalgia will lessen, and "Stranger Things" will end around 2021-2022.  2000s nostalgia will pick up.

When it comes to 2020 as a year, I feel like there will be a lot of raving over it being 2020 - tons of vision jokes - but aside from that, the vibe will be the same as the vibe of this year, and this decade (unless we have a new president.)  I really do think it'll just be a lot like this decade as a year.

Yeah, I miss those days. We never had any snowstorms and hurricanes back in the 2010's. In fact, it was just raining really hard where I'm at and as I stayed stuck inside I was just thinking about the glorious 2010's when kids actually played outside because the weather was perfect. It's raining almost every day and I think the floods might be signs of 2030's culture because every time I see them I see a change in pop culture too.

But seriously, when 1990 turns 30 years old and the 90's decade in general hits 30 year's throughout the 2020's, I'm gonna be like this.
https://i.imgur.com/vIsslDL.gif

Don't even get me started with the 2030's when the 2000's become granny years too.

I'll be ready though. Every generation ahead of me has gone through this. The thing is. As time goes on, the changes are gradual and we adapt to it. It's not like we jump 30 years in the future and we freak out.

Yeah, I remember back in 1992 when hurricane Andrew hit and I could definitely see the future. I remember right when the hurricane was happening everything suddenly felt futuristic. People started going on the Internet, everyone owned Smartphones and everyone was dressing like a hipster, posting photos on Instagram, music was Trap rap, etc. The hurricane was definitely a cultural shift and one of the biggest cultural shifts I've seen.

But the last total solar eclipse over America was in 1991. We were 100% 2000s culture and everything was the same in 1991-2017 up until August 21, 2017 when the next solar eclipse happened. On that day you could feel the transition to a new pop culture and on August 22, 2017 we were 100% in early 2040s culture.

Climate Change (formerly known as Global Warning) is real though. This is no joke. It has affected the weather across the globe and has caused more record hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorm damage, earthquakes, etc. We're talking about record storms that weren't on these type of levels back in the 2000's & earlier. It's only going to get worse from here if we don't change our habits (toxic gas we use for cars daily, toxic chemicals in the air, toxic factories, etc.)

Won't the youth of the 2000s still be in their 50s in the 2030s? I don't know if that's granny.

Haha, it's just a meme-joke that caught on after a user (can't remember who) who seriously said the hurricanes were a sign of a transition to late 2010s/2020s culture ;D

Depends on how you define granny? A lot of Americans have grandkids in their 50s some even in their 40s. It just depends on where you live.

Having grandkids in your 40s is too early in 2018+. Both you and your child would have to have a kid in your early-mid 20s or earlier :o Having grandkids in your 50s would require both to have kids in their late 20s at the latest, which I guess is doable but wouldn't define most people. I think the average age for having your first baby is around 30 now?

In the U.S., the median age of becoming a grandparent is 50 for women and 54 for men.

That's insane lol. Although I guess with the stigma around abortion a lot of people in the US must have kids really young.  ??? 50 would be 25 and 25 or some other unholy combo like 28 and 22, and that's just the median and includes grandchildren from sons and daughters etc. A lot of underage births  :o

It's more common than you think especially in the south where you see a lot of teen pregnancies. The US is so broad when it comes to social-class that A millionaire and a person on welfare can live in a few miles from each other.

I guess it's because I'm American but I'm shocked about it.

I mean 25-32 is the best ages to have children in my opinion.

For men, even though we never run out of sperm, our sperm count decreases every year starting from the age of 30. Also, for women, the chances of miscarriages and having children with birth defects and other medical problems increases after the age of 35.

All 4 of my grandparents are still alive. My grandparents on my mom's side were born in 1943. My grandfather on my dad's side was also born in 1943 but my grandmother on my dad's side was born in 1947. Making them 49 and 53 when I was born, technically since I was born in February, they were age 48, 52, and 53.

Not really. The solar eclipse in 2017 was an early 90s revival. We are still in the same era since 1991 but the hurricanes were a sign of a cultural shift for the next decade.
