Why not? I've been wearing slacks since I was in HS and quite fond of them.

Unless they want to be associated with something unpleasant, no.

Lol, so because some douchebags at ONE rally like, what, six months ago, you can't wear a polo shirt? I reallllly doubt in real life that someone sees a polo shirt and thinks "NEO NAZI!"

Anyone can wear whatever they want, but polo & slacks in 2018 is pretty unfashionable lol. People associate that look with upper-class/suburban white men who are out of touch with the world outside their bubble. It's not like people will call you racist for wearing it, but online it's become somewhat of a meme.

Honestly, I should have never said what I said previously.

I thought it was kind of stupid.

You can wear what you want, but a polo shirt with slacks is what I usually picture a 50 year old white guy wearing :-\\.

I think the Polo shirt and slacks look has moved more into being a "uniform" now, such as staff people working in a store (such as Walmart, but not necessarily Walmart) who need to be identified as staff.  The Polo shirt would have the logo of the establishment on it. In the past, these people might have worn more of a traditional uniform or maybe suit and tie.

I wear a polo and slacks to work but rarely do I do so casually.  For work/office environments though it's still pretty much the standard.

So like I said in my earlier post, it's now basically a non-uniform uniform.

I would probably wear a polo shirt and a pair of dress pants instead.
