I remember being 10 and being so sad for several days after watching that video.
And then the news came out about the creator of the campaign masturbating in public.

I was in 6th grade at the time. All of my classmates thought they were saving the world by spreading the word. Then the leader of the whole campaign got caught masturbating in public and everyone immediately dismissed him as weird and crazy and Kony was forgotten like a day after the masturbating incident.

I was in 6th grade at the time. All of my classmates thought they were saving the world by spreading the word. That happened at my school too, my classmates would make collages and posters of the slogan “KONY 2012” around the school, and once the 2012-2013 school year began everyone forgotten about it.

This became popular my freshman year of high school. I remember Kony 2012 was all over the my school's walls and everyone seemed to be super into it for about a week or so. Then there was the "Cover the Night" FAIL.

Some teacher actually lectured us for not following through with the whole Kony 2012 campaign.
