I wouldn't say late 2016, more like early-mid 2016.

Their second most viewed song was released in February 2017 though. But yeah they were popular in early-2016 too.

Yeah but Don't Let Me Down was released in Early 2016 which in a nutshell got them popular. But i mean Early-Mid 2016 they were popular also not just late 2016 .

In early 2016 they were still seen as a novelty group that made that one viral song a few years back, they definitely were a major mainstream force around mid-2016 when "Don't Let Me Down" started blowing up. And they peaked in late-2016 with "Closer" as well.

Dont forget about "Roses" in Late 2015. But no, outside of Late 2015 - Early 2017, they're irrelevant.

But overall I agree. They were at their apex in Late 2016/Early 2017 with 'Closer' (God I hated that song....), 'Paris' and 'Don't Let Me Down'. After those hits and their album releasing Winter 2016/2017, they took a nosedive in popularity. You'll still hear some singles from them here and there, but they're not certainly as inescapable from the radio as they were say a year or two ago...

There was that Superhero song in spring 2017, but then after that they released that dud debut album and went away quietly into the sunset.
