Subject: What song/album represent the mid-2010s.

For me, the song is Uptown funk and the album is 1989 by Taylor Swift. They both are quintessentially mid-2010s

I was going to say 1989 by Taylor Swift.  "My Everything" by Ariana Grande could also be a contender.

Fifth Harmony's "7/27" and "Reflection". They have songs such as "Worth It", "Work From Home", and "Flex" which sound extremely mid 2010s imo. Also The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" with songs like" The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face".

This is off topic but, does anyone know why she stopped singing/making albums? Her voice was so beautiful. I hope she returns with something new.

I think she's just one of those artists who does things on her own time. I don't think she cares about "pop time" all that much.

She didn't stop, she just does long pauses between album releases as a way to take breaks from media attention she's not really fond of.

She is also concentrating on philanthropy.

I'd say for song it would be Ke$ha's  :-* Timber.

For album I would go with Pitbull's EP, Meltdown, which contained Timber.  8)

Timber in my opinion doesn't sound mid-2010s enough. It sounds like a mixture of an early/mid 2010s song. If you want a mid-2010s Pitbull song, it would be Time of Our Lives.
