It was technically 29th of April but May snow isn't unheard of here unfortunately.  ::) #Canada

Back in the 1970s, I can remember it snowing on a Good Friday, but I cannot say which precise year it was.

Was it in March?

In Canada we talk about "White Easters" and "Green Easters". Fortunately this year was a Green Easter, but not so last year.

Let me do some research into it.

Good Friday in 1975 was March 28th, and I feel it was then.

I would think so. Snow in April in the UK would be a huge shock I'd imagine.  :o

Well most the music in late 2018 was from early 2018, so most the music of early 2019 is from late 2018. That's just how it is lol. New Year's Day is an arbitrary marking point.

2018 is pre-"Old Town Road (Remix)" so it is now 100% dated and irrelevant.

Unusual but not unheard of. We had snow on 29th April about 3 years ago. I believe we also had snow in early May 1997.

Snow in October would be a much bigger deal, since October is warmer than April on average.

It did a rain/snow thing last weekend and being in the 40's it's still cold, but I see people in shorts like they expect summer anyway, lol. I think summer will be colder than usual.

If all this rain were expecting for the next few days in New York was snow then we would probably be getting 3 inches of snow for 3 or 4 days.

Will be my last summer living in small town Oklahoma.  I'm likely either moving to Arizona, Colorado, or Dallas, TX as a last resort at some point in early 2020.

In Canada, it is still pretty cold at least in Toronto, I was the only one wearing a T-shirt and shots when I went to University yesterday, everyone else including everyone I saw in public and on the subway and bus were all dressed in dark color jackets and fall/winter clothing.

On a side note, now that we are almost in the middle of 2019, has there been any signs of early 20s culture? I remember the changes happening in 2009 even when I was in third grade, but frankly, the late 10's only seem like a darker version of the mid 10's, I hope it doesn't continue on into the early 20s.

Oh hey! Another Torontonian :D wazzup. Well, I live in the suburbs now but I lived in downtown and East York from  2004 to 2011.

That kids who were in Grade 3 in 2009 are now in university blows my mind.  :o

I don't wear a jacket if it's above 5°C, but it was raining hard in the morning and I'm too lazy to carry an umbrella ;D

I'm happy you're finally moving out of that place. Arizona's weather sounds like heaven to me ;D

Yeah I got some of my debt taken care of so now I can save to move.  At this point, its just a matter of saving up enough to make it three months in case I don't find a job right away plus moving expenses.  I would say I'm about 9 months out.  I would be able to leave sooner but I have a couple of vacations planned this summer that I'm already committed to that will set me back about $1500.  I'm torn on that, but if I don't do these trips now it may be years before I get another opportunity.  One of them is to Washington DC and the other to NYC.  These are "before I die" bucket list items for me.

The more and more I think about it, the more I lean towards Arizona.  I agree, I absolutely love the weather out there!

All I hope is that the economy holds up and the job market is still strong as 2019 rolls into 2020.  My worst fear is still being stuck here when the recession hits.

Hehe, good to see I'm not the only one. But yeah, time flies by. 2009 felt like a completely different time altogether. I wonder how it will feel like in 2029? I can only imagine.

Howard has been the most consistent member on here. The fact he joined in 2001 and is in his mid 40s says a lot. The site does lean more Millenal as by looking at the posts.

2009 does feel like a long time ago especially with all the big technology shifts that happen in the past decade. It does still feel sorta recent to me since it was the year I owned my first smartphone and when I started my journey in internet nostalgia. I was 13 by then so I remember 2009 clear as day but I can see why you say it feels different to you. I actually met kids born in that year (both in IRL and online) so it definitely shows how long ago it was.
