Peter Yarrow, 81 year old veteran of the folk group Peter, Paul, and Mary, has had his invitation to perform at an upstate New York folk festival, revoked.

Seems the festival’s organizers learned that back in 1970, Peter was convicted of “taking indecent liberties” with a 14 year old girl at a hotel room in Washington DC. In today’s lingo, he’s been cancelled.
Yarrow was one of the people granted a criminal pardon by Jimmy Carter in the waning days of the Carter presidency. Whoever said that Carter was indecisive?

Actually, I agree with him being disinvited from the event.
Maybe he can book a gig at the Carter Family Picnic with Jimmy’s grandkids.
