Subject: Is 2019 part of the core 2010s?

Written By: Early2010sGuy on 09/23/19 at 7:43 pm

Months ago, I said that theres a small shift in late 2018, and I was wrong. There wasn't a shift in late 2018, everything was the same, with exception of Billie Eilish's debut, and announced endings of Game of Thrones and Big Bang Theory. So, because of that, we might be in the same era from the Late 2016 shift. 2017/2018 still felt core 2010s to me, but what about 2019? Theres literally almost no difference between this year and last year...

2019 is still strongly 2010s but I would categorize the year as a post-core 2010s year. Hopefully by the 2020/2021 school year things will shift to early 20s culture.

Yeah. I know I'll feel old thinking that the 2010s are gonna end, but I'm only gonna miss the 2010s for 2010-2017. Other than that, Im ready for a new cultural change

I felt like there was a small change in mid-to-late 2017 with the Latin pop and Latin influenced sound in music, Cardi B and Migos style trap, and implantation of Trump's policies; and 2018 and 2019 have been the same since.

I always thought the core was the central part of various items.

yes

Haha nice simplified answer there, but yeah, Late 2017 is part of the core 2010s, and that small late 2017 shift is the same era we are in today.
