It's going to happen whether we want it to or not. It is America, after all.

Other than that, I think with all the sequels to classic 80's films like Top Gun, Ghostbusters, Bill and Ted, it's going to have a retro 80's feel. I also think it will be a throwback to 2004 and we'll be hearing Usher songs from that album more frequently than we have been. Rumor has it he is releasing a "sequel" to the Confessions album. Meanwhile, it will probably be a big year for Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa (she's supposed to release a sophomore album), Post Malone, Cardi B, and many other late 10's artists.

I also think the Tokyo Olympics will not disappoint, unlike the Rio Olympics.

Well, right now, I think Lizzo's pop style will be on the way with Good As Hell, it sounds awesome! I also think that classic hip hop sounds are gonna be implemented in rap music, as heard by Kanye West's follow god. I may be wrong, but its what's happening at the moment, and it might change soon.
