The late 2010s are basically define by two primary sounds: EDM and heavy-bass trap (and some other sounds including dancehall). EDM was declining in the second half of the late 2010s though while trap was getting even more popular.

Personally, I like some trap songs from the late 2010s. "Old Town Road", "Sicko Mode" and "a lot" are some of my favorites.
I realize the criticism of the Soundcloud/mumble rap invasion though; I used to like it back then, but now I find the "Ay" ad-libs and toxic lyrics to be annoying.

I was gonna add "Rodeo" on here, but the music video that accompanies the song is the remix with Nas (the NY rapper) on it, and that came out in January of this year.
