Subject: 2 popular songs, maybe getting them mixed up

Written By: wagonman76 on 05/25/20 at 10:08 pm

Ok there were times riding with someone around 2015 or 2016 listening to whatever was on, not my favorite music. A rather tumultuous time for me and my brain likes to mix things up. But anyway I’ve wondered about this for awhile.

The song We Found Love by Rihanna has this pulsing synth part that ascends a chromatic scale. They do it a couple times.

The song All Of Me by John Legend is normally slow but I kept thinking I heard a dance version. But what I’m really remembering is a very similar chromatically ascending pulsing synth part, but much faster pulses, on the fade out of the song. I found a version called kiss fm mix that might be it but it cuts off right before the part I’m thinking of.

So I don’t know if I’m thinking of something real or if my brain is putting two songs together.

Was it this one?

Goodness, it's awful! I actually quite liked the original.

Sounds like it. The ending isn’t how I remember, but the part I am referring to does happen several times in the song.

It’s either that or the radio station did a fade and cut at about 3:05. That would make perfect sense.
