Subject: There's an underlooked transition in the mid 10s with meme culture rising

No one mentions it but around 2015-2016 is when meme culture exploded and became fully ingrained with pop culture and society. Before like 2016 they were common but not completely everywhere. You rarely saw them on facebook feeds. You didn't see meme references much in youtube comment sections. It feels like around the time 2016 they started being posted everywhere non-stop. I feel like that is one of the biggest transitions of the 10s.
