Subject: We're sort of in a 2006 - 2008 scenerio

Written By: Slim95 on 03/16/21 at 12:04 pm

We had a big shift in 2020 just like 2006 and I think we're gonna have an even bigger shift in 2022 (like 2008 respectively). We're in this period of great change and transition. The difference is though the change is a lot more societal than technological now, opposed to the 2008 - 2008 era where it was both societal and technological.

I think we're more like in a 2007 scenario except the change isn't exclusively economic. People weren't as sympathetic to radical causes then as much as they are now especially in the light of police brutality during lockdown.

2021 would be like 2007 in this instance so you're right.

So we're in a 14 year parallel now? I wish 2020 would have been more like 2004 but turned out to be nothing like it. One thing 2020 had in common with 2006 is they both sucked, but for different reasons (also both years had a Borat movie at least). 2022 might suck as well and I imagined that year would be more like 2006.
