I'm sure some of you are aware that there is a newbie section where people have to post before they can post anywhere else. This is to keep spammers off of the boards and I usually catch them before they start posting everywhere else. However, there are some that sneak by and will post on the boards.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FIND A SPAMMER!!!
-REPORT POST!
WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN YOU FIND A SPAMMER!!!!!
-Don't click on their links!
-Don't respond to the thread!
-Don't fudge them (it will disappear after I ban them anyway).
By doing (or not doing) this makes my job much easier.

Wouldn't mind taking care of spammers. I mean I don't want to become a full moderator as I think that should be done by native speakers but being from a different time zone I spot some spammers from Europe and Asia earlier than the US based staff.

What not to do with spammers:
- Encourage them to post more often
- Constantly agree with their viewpoint
- All of us give them lots of karma on a daily basis
- Make them an admin

I'm good with following the rules. I just get frustrated with the ones who are contiually responding to the idiots, and I know it's best not to call them idiots either, but there's that frustration coming out.
