Subject: Kentucky Derby Winner Now in Question

The ostensible winner of this year’s Kentucky Derby, Medina Spirit, was the Cinderella story of the year. A $1000 horse a few steps away from the glue factory ends up winning The Big Race.
However there’s a hitch. The horse failed a drug test and ‘rhoids were found. :o The horse’s trainer is banned until further notice from Churchill Downs, and a second blood sample is now being tested.

If the winning horse ends up being disqualified and the second-place horse is declared the winner, will there be any effect on the betting? Will the people who bet on the first-place horse have to give their winnings back, and will the people who bet on the second-place horse end up getting a payout? ??? ??? ???
