Fleetwood Mac superstar Lindsay Buckingham apparently got caught plagiarizing lyrics from some other artist recently, but he manned up and settled with a lump-sum payment.

Once Buckingham became aware of the issue, he agreed a payment fee with the writers and added their names to the song’s credits. Future versions of the album will include those credits. “When this unintentional and inadvertent usage was raised to Lindsey, he quickly realized his mistake and a friendly resolution was made by all parties,” his management told Spin.

I always thought the melody of the Buckingham-penned "Peacekeeper" from Fleetwood Mac's "Say You Will" album bore more than a passing resemblance to Paul Simon's "Kodachrome".

I just checked out Peacekeeper on YouTube and I have to agree. My guess is Paul Simon figured he would not dignify the plagiarism by acknowledging it.
