Actually more like the 90's when pretty much everything from late 1991 to 1997 were good, and of course 1999. Just 1990-mid 1991 and 1998 weren't so great, at least in my personal life.

The 2000's were more like a few bad years followed by a few good ones. 2000 was great, but then 9/11/2001-2003 were bad (except for 2nd half of 2002), then 2004 and 2005 were great, 2006 and 2007 sucked, and 2008 was great, and 2009 was OK.

This decade will probably be worse than the 2010's. Even if the pandemic ends like some health experts are predicting for 2022, there will probably be something else like a war or climate disaster, or some type of natural disaster.

2000s were bookended by two sheeshty world events; 9/11 and the great recession.

2022 will probably mark the beginning of the core 2020s. The core 2020s will mainly be defined by the pandemic cleanup.

I might agree with you.

The pattern is also like the reverse/inverse of the 2010's, which started off good, had a bad core/mid part (except for 2015 and first half of 2016), and good late part (late 2017-2019).

As a Christian, I truly believe Jesus is coming back SOON. But even tho it could be tomorrow, it could still be another 20 years from now. The Bible implies that the world's gonna be carrying on like normal before He comes back and everything on Earth goes downhill. From that we can assume most people will be carrying out their post-pandemic lives happily. So basically, from now until He comes back (whenever that is) things are probably gonna be pretty good

There's still commercials about the virus? I only remember them during the first few months of the pandemic like the Apple one with the somber piano music. I occasionally see ads/PSA's about vaccinations though.

I have been saying for a while now that people have to "move beyond" the virus and live their lives, although always exercising extreme caution. In an article for The Atlantic posted yesterday.
