Is there a news report link for this?

Is this local to you, or be available internationally?

How is that possible??
Exactly, I ask the same, especially on all available formats for communication?

https://www.heart.co.uk/lifestyle/new-iphone-feature-edit-your-texts/

This article from a year ago says that they applied for a patent. It would only allow alterations of typos and the receiver would be able to see that you had edited.

I can’t tell if this feature is available yet. The whole article seems full of ifs and maybes. Maybe Starro has something more up to date

I am curious about this for how can a software package, app, whatever, will recognise a typo when the word received is spelt correctly but can be read in several forms? For instance, 'form' and 'from',  or 'from' age as fromage'? Even typing this 'fromage' (cheese) is not recognised.

Since the OP provided no citation whatsoever, here is what I found:

www.pcmag.com/news/ios-16-adds-editing-options-to-messages-overhauled-lock-screen

If you frequently fire off Messages with embarrassing or puzzling errors, Apple will now let you edit messages you just sent. Want to start over completely; an undo send option is coming to iOS 16, too. You can only edit or undo a message for up to 15 minutes after it's sent; deleted messages can be recovered for up to 30 days. Need a reminder to get back to that message? With iOS 16, you can mark a thread as unread.

When those messages do come in, they'll roll up from the bottom of the screen in iOS 16 alongside other notifications so as not to obscure your lock-screen photo, Apple says. You can hide them if you need some peace.

Can the sent email still be edited after it has been deleted by the receiver?
