Subject: Mini quiz #1

Written By: Zella on 04/24/02 at 09:05 p.m.

Again, a repost, as I don't think anyone answered it...

What do the following five songs all have in common (besides all being one-hit wonders)?

Beach Baby -- First Class
Gimme Dat Ding -- The Pipkins
Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) -- Edison Lighthouse
My Baby Loves Lovin' -- White Plains
United We Stand -- Brotherhood of Man

Zella - where was I the first time then ?

All five songs had Tony Burrows as the lead singer - he was a session singer.

Which leads me to ask you both...was the guy that sang "Sugar, Sugar" the same guy that sang "Tracey?" and what was his name?  BTW, I had NO idea what the answer to this current quiz was  :o

That's it exactly. You get the virtual prize. Do you choose virtual door #1, virtual door #2, or virtual door #3?

Wrong side of the pond, probably. Or more likely, born in the wrong decade. :)

The guy who sang "Sugar Sugar" for the Archies and "Tracy" for the Cuff Links was Ron Dante.  He also co-produced Barry Manilow's early works.

.....but first, let us show you what was behind virtual door #1 and virtual door #2. If you had picked virtual door #1, you would have won a brand new virtual Porsche! Had you picked virtual door #2 you would have won a three week virtual trip to Jamaica mon. But now, let's open virtual door #3... first of all you win a one years supply of virtual peanuts. And to go with this, you also get.....

....a virtual elephant.

Or would you rather trade for what is in the large virtual box that Madeline, our virtual asssistant, is now indicating?  ;D

(You probably have to be an American to fully appreciate the above)

No Zella, I think I've been around long enough to get the general idea.

Well I think NUTS to virtual prize number 3.  I get this nagging feeling that if I picked 1 or 2 the prizes might have mysteriously changed around, but then again I am a FussBudget.

In that case I'll take Madeline.  Oh, that is, I'll take the mystery virtual prize that she is now virtually holding .... :-/
