Sorry guys, new to the forum here but on the Greatest Hits of the '70s list, Rush's Tom Sawyer is mentioned, that was from the 1981 release "Moving Pictures"? Or is Marshall Savitt right and it was played b4 1980?

No. It was indeed an 80's release and hit:
