Oh, it's finally come to me! #10 is "Monterey" by Eric Burden. It's right after the line about Brian. (There would be a good bonus question--how many dead rock stars does that song name anyhow? ;) )

Zella - What are you trying to do to me - catch me unawares because it is morning here ?

I will now have to listen to Montery, as it has been awhile (ironically Eric Burdon is on my radio right now with House of the rising sun) - I kid you not, that is spooky.

However !  It is not the song I had in mind.. See my next message for hints re the remainder...

Okay, some hints for the remaining three songs :

One is by a english male artist, one is by an aussie group, one is by an english group.

BEWARE : The following hints may confuse more than help :

Think electricity, think Nelson Mandela, think Hunchback of Notre Dame

(Hee Hee Hee - it's easy when one already knows the answers)

You're right. Now that I think about it, it says: 10,000 electric guitars are roarin' real loud or something like that.  :-sounds like something you would pull a line from....  :D

I must be getting too predictable for you !

Time to change tack perhaps (we are sailing, we are sailing, home again, cross the sea....)

;D FB and the rest......

Hi Gambo

I can't say whether that's correct (I have never heard of that song).

It wasn't the one I was thinking of, though.  :(

Time for a clue, as there is only one to go.

10. TWO…SLIGHTLY…DISTORTED…ELECTRIC GUITARS

The words are 'spoken' rather than sung

The guy played all the instruments on the whole album, as I think he does with all of his albums

That should get an answer pretty quick I think.

I was about to say Frank Zappa, but it's got to be Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield... haven't listened to that since I was at school, so lord only knows where it was dredged up from ;-)
