I think I had most of my black light posters in 1973 or 1974. I had some black light paint and used to paint all sorts of stuff on black construction paper and hang them all over my room.

I found a Zeppelin poster at a yard sale like that. It even had velvet on it!! :D
As for the light, I was too young. :-/ (we called them sex lights- :o )

Yes, my posters were velvet too!!
I never heard them called sex light before, but if the light works...

I had two 4-foot blacklights in my room.....and lots of those wild 3-D effect velvet posters....until I got my mirrorball...then the blacklights were put away....

Actually, it's my sister's or brother's. They each had 1 - not sure where the other might be. But it is amazing, it still works - I have the same filament from the '70s. It's a straight boring tube light about 2' long.
My siblings loved putting personalized glow stickers all over their doors. So I recall that being the most distinctive thing when using the lights. They probably had other things but that's the main thing I recall.
Myself? I use it to find animal urine stains to clean up. Sometimes other kinds, too. OK, maybe occasionally I turn it on just for kicks - watch all the lint & dust jump out at you! And make yourself look like Michael Jackson and his electric socks!
