Is any one else out there a fan of Kung Fu the series starring David carradine? If so can you help me please. I am looking for videos of the series which I am willing to buy, and details of a David Carradine or Kung Fu fan club. Also Kung Fu the Legend Continues, which I know didn't happen till much later.

Many thanks to any one who can help. I will be your friend for as long as you like.

Edited because the original image was not visible. I added a replacement image of the topic at hand in the meantime.

I never really watched Kung Fu but at the moment it is on pay TV in Australia. I didn't realize that Caine could put out small fires with a wave of his hand. I actually started to like the show and will continue to watch it. :)

I used to love it as a kid...
Master: You will not be a master until you can catch a fly in a pair of chopsticks
Caine: But Master, I can do that already
Master: Not without killing the fly

"Ah, Gwasshopper, if you can pull the pebbles from my hand..."     I remember seeing a parady of Kung Fu in Mad Magazine were his name was Misqueto.  I thought that was sooooo funny.

:o :P I like the parodies too. Most good shows had the mickey taken out of them. A show hadn't arrived untill it had been parodied in magazines like MAD. I still prefer the real show, but there is a palce for parodies too. Keep on enyoing the philosophy, and have a laugh too. Laughter is the antidote for many things.

Here is something else you might want to look for:

In 1986, Brandon Lee was in a follow-up movie with David called "Kung-Fu: The Movie".

THis was made for TV, and was pretty faithfull to the original movie/series.  I had a feeling it was an attempt at a new series, one that would have been MUCH better then the cop one that came a few years later.

And some trivia:  Brandon Lee was brought in because his father Bruce was David's teacher and mentor for the original TV series.  It was also his first acting role, the one that started an amazing, but all to brief career.

I loved Kung Fu and had a regimen of watching it in the 70s.  I wanted to be just like Kane, wandering around and saving the world.  A few years later I joined the Peace Corps and now I'm poor but guess I'm happy.

Kung Fu - oh yeah, me and my brother used to watch this every week and role played the episodes in the garden afterwards....pretending to pick up the burning brazier and brand ourselves on the forearm, using the grass collector from my Dad's lawnmower.

Here's a trivia question I can't remember the answer to:
There were two masters back in the monastery, Master Po was the blind one (you could do a good Master Po by cutting a ping pong ball in half and screwing them into your eyes) but what was the name of the other Master?

:) :oI have Kung Fu (the original pilot episode), and Kung Fu The Movie. It is a bit ironic that Brandon Lee played Kwai Changs son when Bruce Lee (Brandons real dad) was passed over for David Carradine.

I know it's not a 70s thing, but if any one gets a chance to see The Shaolin Wheel of Life Show (it's on in London now), go see it, it's a brilliant show, and builds on some of the things in Kung Fu.
