Subject: Remembering Karen Silkwood

Written By: karen silkwood on 11/11/02 at 07:22 p.m.

In two daies we will be remembering Karen Silkwood the young woman who died on November 13, 1974. You may think of her as a pill popper but I think of her as a hero. A person who thought that what she was doing was right. It has been almost 28 years since her death and it seems that people don't remember what she died for. I ask you this when you go into work and you think of how good the condisions are think of Karen. If it wern't for her you wouldn't be working in such a safe place. RIP Karen silkwood.

That is wonderful. She was a brave woman. I must confess that I only know about her because of the movie with Maryl Streep. But I know that she gave her life to right a wrong and the is the ultimate sacrifice.

"Karen Silkwood",

I found your no-longer-existing post to one of our members negative and possibly offending. Being as how you're new, I will direct you to the link below.
